MEET OUR GOVERNORS

Charlie Lambert
Chair of Governors

Miriam Philpott
I have lived in Whittlesey since 2004. I was elected as a Parent Governor for New Road School in September 2015. I am a full time mum and my husband and I have three children who are all pupils at the school. I value the challenge and opportunity to be involved in helping the school to provide the best education for all the children who attend in these key, formative years of primary education.
In my spare time I enjoy reading, playing the piano and spending time with friends and family.

Joanne Sayer
Our first daughter started at New Road School in 2007, and we have had a care and interest in the school since that time. Our two younger children were also at the school from Reception to Year 6. As a full time mum who volunteers in school and at our church, I wanted to use my time constructively for the good of the school, it's pupils and staff. I have been a governor since Autumn 2013.
Community Governor

Raneam Makansi
Hello, my name is Raneam and I am a 20 year old law student at the University of Birmingham!
In my spare time, I enjoy weightlifting, reading and travelling.
I wanted to become a governor as I feel I can provide a fresh perspective due to the fact I am still in education myself. I aim to use my insights to aid with the development of the school and the children.
I am also keen on practicing in Education Law, so understanding the workings of the school gives me a base knowledge that I can utilise later in my career.
Community Governor
