Mr Litten will be writing a weekly newsletter, with the aim to share with you all that is good about our school and its children.

Dear Parents, Carers and Children,

Welcome back, we hope you had an enjoyable half term break, and you are ready for what we hope will be a happy and fulfilling time as we approach Christmas and New Year! A magical time in our school.

A Visit to Remember: Wally Newman Inspires Pupils with Stories of Service and Strength

Our school had the extraordinary honour of welcoming Mr. Wally Newman, a remarkable gentleman whose life story left a lasting impression on pupils and staff alike.

At 99 years old—and soon to celebrate his 100th birthday on Christmas Eve—Wally brought with him not only a century of wisdom but also a legacy of courage, resilience, and service.

Wally served in the Royal Navy during the Second World War, a time that shaped his values and forged a deep sense of duty and integrity. His stories of life at sea, camaraderie among shipmates, and the challenges faced during wartime captivated the children, offering a living connection to history that no textbook could replicate.

As he approaches his 100th birthday, we celebrate not only his incredible milestone but also the legacy he continues to build through moments like these.

Thank you, Wally, for your service, your wisdom, and your warmth. You are truly an inspiration.

A list of future term dates is below.   Thank you for supporting our school we are proud of your children and all they achieve.

Kindest Regards,

Mr Rob Litten
