Headteacher Weekly Newsletter

Mr Litten will be writing a weekly newsletter, with the aim to share with you all that is good about our school and its children.

Dear Parents, Carers and Children,

We are proud of the creativity and kindness our children display every day, helping to make our school a happy and welcoming community. Our pupils have shown incredible enthusiasm and teamwork this term, making our classrooms vibrant places for learning and growth.

Clubs, sports, great teaching and lots of love and care from home and school makes all of this possible - thank you!

Our Chess Club Turns One!

We are thrilled to celebrate the first anniversary of our Chess Club, which has grown into one of the most popular and successful clubs in our school.

Over the past year, the club has welcomed more than twenty dedicated members, creating a vibrant community of strategic thinkers and enthusiastic learners. At the heart of this success are our 12 Chess Captains

…who have shown outstanding leadership by organising sessions, mentoring younger players, and fostering a welcoming atmosphere for all. Their commitment has helped the club flourish and become a space where pupils develop critical thinking, patience, and problem-solving skills—all while enjoying the game.

The excitement and teamwork have been inspiring, and the club continues to grow in confidence.

Year 5 Bikeability!

This week, our Year 5 pupils have been busy completing their Bikeability training, learning essential skills to cycle safely and confidently on the road. The sessions focused on balance, control, and road awareness, giving children the independence and knowledge, they need to enjoy cycling responsibly.
