Headteacher Weekly Newsletter

Mr Litten will be writing a weekly newsletter, with the aim to share with you all that is good about our school and its children.

Dear Parents, Carers and Children,

Last week we marked Armistice Day with dignity at school and at St Mary’s Church. We also celebrated Odd Socks Day and Children in Need. A wonderful week to remember.

Armistice Day Service at St Mary’s

It was a moving occasion, marked by reflection and respect. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Father Andrew for leading our Armistice Day service.

A special thank you also goes to Mr Williams, who spoke thoughtfully during the service and supported the children as they laid wreaths in memory of the fallen and read poems to mark the occasion.

Odd Socks Day – Celebrating Our Differences

Last Monday, our school was filled with bright colours and fun patterns as the children wore odd socks to mark Odd Socks Day. This simple act carried a powerful message: it’s great to be different and being different is never a reason to bully someone.

Thank you to all our pupils for taking part and showing that kindness and respect matter most. By celebrating individuality, we remind ourselves that every person brings something unique and valuable to our community.

Children in Need Success

We are delighted to share that our school community raised £220 for Children in Need!

Your generosity and kindness will help make a real difference to the lives of children across the UK. We have shown the power of compassion and teamwork.

Thank you for making this year’s Children in Need fundraising such a success!
