Mr Litten will be writing a weekly newsletter, with the aim to share with you all that is good about our school and its children.
Dear Parents, Carers and Pupils,
We have had a brilliant September back at school – thank you! The children work hard and are positive in lessons. This is not always easy for young children, but they continue to do you proud! Their politeness and positivity make a huge difference!
Whittlesey Festival Art Competition
We were very pleased to welcome Marija to our school. Marija announced in assembly that we have a very special winner in this year’s annual Whittlesey Art Festival.
Logan was over the moon to receive his prize in assembly. We are very proud of him.
The children thanked Marija and we asked her to extend our thanks to the Whittlesey Festival Committee for all of their hard work.

Police Safety Visit
Year 3 children really enjoyed and benefitted from a visit by two local PCSO's. Mrs Chisholm invited them to school to talk to children about risky and safe choices in their homes, in school and in the community.
We are very grateful to Cambridgeshire Constabulary for helping us in his way.
Macmillan Coffee Morning
A huge thank you to the pupils, parents, staff and governors who supported out Macmillan Coffee morning. By the end of the day we had almost raised £100!
It was a lovely event, and we would really like to hold coffee mornings in the future for children and families.
Our Year 6 pupils were incredible - they helped on the day and enjoyed the cake too. A big thank you to Friends of New Road School who helped to organise the event.
The term dates and a list of future dates are below. Thank you for reading the newsletter.
Kindest regards,
Mr Rob Litten
