Equiano House

Olaudah Equiano (1745-1797) was an African writer whose experiences as a slave prompted him to become involved in the British abolition movement.  He lived in Cambridgeshire for a number of years.

Octavia House

Octavia Hill (1838 - 1912) was born in Cambridgeshire and was an English social reformer whose main concern was the welfare of the inhabitants of cities in the second half of the nineteenth century.

Octavia House colour is Blue

Royce House

Sir Frederick Henry Royce, 1st Baronet, OBE was born in Cambridgeshire and was an English engineer and car designer who with Charles Rolls founded the Rolls-Royce company.

Royce House colour is Red

Clarkson House

Thomas Clarkson (1760 - 1846) was born in Cambridgeshire and was an English abolitionist and a leading campaigner against the slave trade in the British Empire.  He helped to achieve passage of the Slave Trade Act of 1807 which ended British trade in slaves.
